Once agreed, they will work with the engagement team and the lead partner on the opportunity to progress the pursuit; setting up the kick off meeting, helping create value propositions, assist in shaping the document (liaising with the design team) and then helping them prepare for the orals. They will be part of a broader proposals function that will have ongoing responsibility for instilling proposal management “best practice” across the assurance practice.
In turn they will be part of a wider business development function that will range in skills from lead generation to account management and everything in between. It’s envisaged some travel may be required (mainly across the GCC) depending on the nature of some opportunities.
The ideal candidate should have some experience of supporting large bids, preferably within the professional services industry. Commercially astute with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders, they will be knowledgeable about the end-to-end pitch process, from the team kick off meeting with the team to the pitch and post decision review meetings.
Experience of document production is also important. Proactive and with the ability to work on multiple projects and with multiple stakeholders, the successful individual with be willing to roll their sleeves up and get stuck in, whilst retaining the “bigger picture” on the pitch when those around them get sucked into the detail. Equally confident working in a team or independently, we’re looking for someone who remains calm under pressure and can influence others through a variety of techniques.
